Glycobiology is undertaught in the classroom and understudied in research, despite its widespread importance across all domains of life. We are the education team for the National Science Foundation-funded BioFoundry on Glycoscience Research, Education and Training (BioF:GREAT), which aims to address this issue by democratizing access to glycobiology. We are:

• Developing, evaluating, and disseminating educational materials for teaching glycobiology
• Supporting undergraduate instructors in integrating glycobiology into their instruction
• Working to raise public awareness of the importance of glycobiology in daily life
